Part of this is just being wishful as Luke Bryan is a country singer and therefore, terrible. He doesn’t seem like someone who will milk it, so while it will suck, it will at least be short.

He’s a redneck. Jeans are part of the official redneck uniform.

Redneck in Texas. I’m guessing there will be a cowboy hat involved.

Few things are more important to rednecks than the national anthem. Kinda odd when you think about it, considering confederate flags are also pretty high on that list, but I digress. If rednecks screw up the anthem, I’m pretty sure the official redneck rules say they have to carry out seppuku, so I’m betting Bryan will be careful.

I think it could be “Born This Way” or “Bad Romance,” but I like the value here and the first line of “Poker Face” is “I wanna hold ’em like they do in Texas, please.”

Two things at work here: someone has to kneel and it has to be shown on TV. Fox has the broadcast, so even if someone kneels, I don’t think they show it.

Chris Hogan played Lacrosse. People forget that.

The Pats’ line is playing well, as are the Capitals. The latter plays a Kings team playing at 9 AM L.A. time. Saturday, the Kings played in Philadelphia at 10 AM L.A. time and needed OT to get a goal. Peter Budaj played in that one, so Sunday’s game will have Alex Ovechkin shooting at either Budaj playing his second game in as many days or Jeff Zatkoff.
