Kevin Schroeder's picks for week 7 of the 2020 NFL season

I’ve got four best bets this week. First, Tampa Bay, coming off a clobbering of Green Bay heads to Vegas to play the Raiders. I would’ve liked the Bucs to cover 4 under normal circumstances and now that Vegas has their entire offensive line in the NFL COVID protocol, this becomes my lock of the week.

The aforementioned clobberees, the Packers, head to Houston to take on the Texans. I know the Packers just got taken down a peg or 28, but they cover 3.5 against a dreadful Houston team. I like the over in this one, too, as I think Houston will put up some points, just not enough to cover all the ones their sieve of a defense will give up.

Buffalo covers 12.5 against the Jets. Easy explanation: Buffalo’s good, the Jets are so bad they make that meme going around about Trevor Lawrence going back to school rather than playing for them somewhat believable.

Lastly, Chicago covers 6 in L.A. I do think the Rams win, but that’s too many points to lay. Frankly, an upset wouldn’t shock me.
