On his tape, Hudson displays excellent strength, especially for a high school junior. He’s got great instincts and seems to always know where the ball is going. He’s very good at getting through blocks. His first step could use some work, though I don’t think that will be terribly difficult to fix. Hudson has played mostly DE in high school. In Brown’s system, the SDE (Anchor) and 3T are somewhat interchangeable. I’m not in love with Hudson’s speed for a potential DE, but he seems to have the ability to set the edge. My guess is he plays more at 3T.
