Grown Men Still Watch Wrestling?

Short answer: Yes

Long answer: Would you please, SHUT THE HELL UP

Today is #Wrestlemania day.  It’s the showcase of immortals. The spectacle of spectacles. Today is the Super Bowl of wrestling and we couldn’t be more excited at Good If It Goes.  For some it’s a day to watch our favorite entertainers put their bodies on the line and cement their legacy in “Sports entertainment”.  For others, it’s a day to make the most glaringly obvious statement since Yogi Berra hit us with this masterpiece. observe-by-watching

Wrestling is fake. The outcomes are predetermined. The moves are protected, and wrestlers are professional actors.

NEWSFLASH

Nobody cares.

Wrestling is a production. There are writers and all these other elements that make it a production. We know that all of it isn’t real, but thanks for the help. Plus, if you were 12 years old and thought a dead man walking around pinning people and not turning everyone into zombies by feasting on their brains was real, you’re the one that needs a cat-scan. For myself, I always used wrestling as a tool to talk trash and be creative with words that I used when trashing another human being. I’m a competitor and I enjoy getting under people’s skin. The likes of The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin cutting promo’s and bringing the crowd laughter was always enjoyable for me. It’s my first thought when I hear the word “Wrasslin”. For you, you equate it to grown men in tights touching each other in a sexual way. Bro seriously, you need help.

Also, because I’m in a ruining mood, lets look at some things you guys enjoy that have the same elements as wrestling and it’s fakeness.

Reality TV

Most of the people I follow on Twitter enjoy a show called Love & Hip-Hop. From what I’ve seen via tweets, it’s the same story ever week: Peter manipulates women, Mandible Claw goes to jail and his women Yandy cries; oh and Cardi B says she’s a hoe. Well guess what? That show is storyboarded. Reality TV has storyboard editors that influence the weekly storyline to get to the combustible elements that it will come. Let’s put two people that don’t like each other in a room and see what happens. Basically, the show (Like all other reality tv shows) is a cheaper production of Monday Night Raw. ?????????????

The Internet

With the advancement of social media and everything that goes along with it, the internet has become the most dramatized and unrealistic place ever. I see fake news on Facebook, I see drama on Twitter that turned out to be fake, I’ve seen enough on the internet in the last few years to believe that WWE is more “real” than the things I see in my web browser. How many times have you seen a Facebook post from “The Onion”(a well known satirical publication) taken as fact? Last week, a women tweeted a story about holding a poop in her purse during a date. People won’t accept wrestling as a form of entertainment, but will accept anything they read on the internet as fact.the-onion-logo

Your Job

You go to work, pretend to be someone that cares about their job, and contemplate punching your boss everyday. What’s more wrestling than that? images

Bottom line, wrestling is entertainment. It’s the same entertainment you watch, with better writing, better actors, and better production. So please, shut up and let grown men enjoy #Wrestlemania today without being a whiny bitch.
