Michigan 49, Rutgers 16 – Rapid Reaction
- Updated: November 8, 2015
This was pure domination. Rudock had, by far, his best game as a Wolverine, and maybe ever. De’Veon Smith turned in a nice performance. The defense was great again. Peppers was Peppers. The only thing that wasn’t so great was, surprise, surprise, the officiating. That accounted for 10 of Rutgers’ points, with multiple holds not called on Rutgers’ kick return TD and a block in the back not called on the long punt return that led to the field goal toward the end of the first half. Throw in the “intent to deceive” penalty and, yeah, not a great day for the zebras. But Michigan blew them out anyway. Yes, it was Rutgers, but it was nice to do what you should do against Rutgers instead of letting Gary Nova light you up through the air.
