Michigan – Notre Dame Back On
- Updated: July 7, 2016
Michigan and Notre Dame will resume their series in 2018 in South Bend followed by a meeting in Ann Arbor the following year. There’s nothing definitive after that, but both sides seem to want this to happen, so my money is on it happening beyond 2019. The timing of the games is not ideal for Michigan; resuming in 2018 meant either playing all three rivalry games on the road in 2018 or playing only 6 home games in 2019. The dates of the two games are slightly odd as well; Michigan opens at Notre Dame on September 1, 2018 and hosts them on October 29, 2019. Timing may not be ideal, but I’m just glad that the game is happening again.
