Michigan Recruiting Recap
- Updated: April 19, 2015
Michigan picked up a few commitments recently. They are:
David Reese, rated by Rivals as a 3* ILB, though he will likely see the field at fullback for Michigan. A former Louisville commit, Reese is listed at 6’1, 226. There’s really nothing on him at fullback right now, as everyone is looking at him at linebacker.
Running back Kingston Davis, rated at 3* by Rivals, and listed at 6’0, 242. There hasn’t been a ton written about Davis thus far, but Davis’ Hudl page lists a 4.50 40-yard dash, which seems a little fast. While Davis, who comes to Michigan from Prattville, Alabama, where Keith Washington comes from this year, and where Michigan will hold one of their satellite camps, was not offered by Alabama or Auburn, Tyrone Wheatley told Davis that Davis reminded Wheatley of himself, so that’s great to see.
Running back Matt Falcon, rated at 4* by Rivals, and listed at 6’1, 210. Falcon tore his ACL during his sophomore year, but bounced back nicely, rushing for over 1100 yards in six games during his junior year. While no 40-yard dash time is listed for Falcon, he has good speed and agility, and will be an asset in the passing game.
Punter Blake O’Neill, a graduate transfer from Weber State, who grew up playing Australian rules football, and only started playing American football last year.
The team also picked up its first commitment for 2017, tight end Carter Dunaway. The extent of the information I could find on him is that he’s 6’6, 225 and was high school teammates with Grant Perry. Plenty of time for his stock to rise.
