NFL 2016: Huge year for Rodgers, Packers

I remember the night of February 6th,2011 like it was yesterday. The Green Bay Packers (my favorite sports team since I was 5) won the Super Bowl in a highly entertaining and nerve wracking game over the Pittsburgh Steelers, and as a sports fan, there is no greater prize than watching your team win the Super Bowl. What I also remember from that night was going home that high on marijuana and buzzed from taking a few shots of crown (I rarely every drink hard alcohol), believing that the Rodgers-led Packers would win the Super Bowl every year going forward. Ahh yes, and then reality kicked in. The following season, the Pack went 15-1 and looked unstoppable; there was nobody who could beat this team, at least that is what I, other fans, and pundits around the league believed. The Giants came to Lambeau as big underdogs (+9 to be exact) and shocked the world, defeating the Pack 37-20 in the divisional round. I was stunned absolutely fucking stunned. It was one of those look into the wall for hours type of nights wondering what the fuck happened. 2013 was another solid regular season. That season, Aaron Rodgers missed 9 weeks but returned just in time to beat the Bears in Week 17 to win the NFC North again, and then later defeated the Vikings in the Wild card round. Unfortunately, what happened next was a trip to San Fran against unproven QB Colin Kaepernick. We all know what fucking happened in that shitshow of a game, with Harbaugh absolutely abusing McCarthy/Capers and yet another shitty ending to a good regular season. All of that hard work, Rodgers getting hurt and returning only to blow a winnable game (another playoff loss to the 49ers, fuck you Prentiss.)

Next up is the absolute worst loss of my entire life as a fan. A suicidal sports loss where you wonder and wonder how you will ever recover from this shit. The Packers blew the NFC Championship at Seattle to that fucking little bible-thumping douchebag Russell Wilson and 9/11 truther Pete Carroll. I wanted to die that day. Then last year ANOTHER MOTHER FUCKING devastating loss to the Cardinals – holy shit when will this end?! It’s been 5 years since the Super Bowl win and when you have a talent like Aaron Rodgers thats completely unacceptable. This year, though, my expectations are sky high with White Jesus Jordy Nelson being back, Eddie Lacy not looking like Pjackk anymore, and the defense, YES THE DEFENSE, actually looking above average on paper, and of course, the best QB in football. Anything less than a Super Bowl win will be a major disappointment.
