This Week’s Top 10: Best Summer Olympics Events
- Updated: August 5, 2016
The 2016 Olympics kick off tonight, so let’s take a look at the ten best Summer Olympics events. This is just one man’s opinion, but it is the correct one.
10. BMX Racing
Skateboarding and baseball will be in in 2020, so this won’t make the next list. While you’re at it, add motocross.
9. Track and field
I prefer the field events, but Usain Bolt is awfully impressive.
8. Handball
Way more interesting than it sounds
7. Table Tennis
Seems like it doesn’t belong, but these guys are pretty impressive. Call it Ping-Pong, though.
6. Wrestling
One of the oldest sports known to man. Pure physical competition.
5. Rugby
Personally, I’m a bigger fan of Union, but Sevens, which they’ll be playing in Rio de Janeiro, is a very exciting game as well.
4. Weighlifting
Now without roided-up Russians!
3. Golf
Glad to see the Olympics add a sport worth watching. Unfortunately, many of the top names in the sport won’t be there.
2. Boxing
The Olympics have been a major starting point for many great fighters, such as Muhammad Ali, Joe Frazier, Lennox Lewis, George Forman, Wladimir Klitschko, Oscar De La Hoya, and Floyd Patterson.
1. Basketball
No-brainer, even if a lot of the top stars aren’t there for Team USA.
