Who Dropped the Churches Money? Unibrow Edition
- Updated: May 27, 2016
Anthony Davis dropped the churches money (shout to AARPJackk). Davis will miss out on $25M after not making the All-NBA team this year. “The Brow” signed a 5-year extension which included a total of $145 IF he fulfilled All-NBA team obligations. Unfortunately, the 2015 All-NBA forward and Chicago native only played 61 games and missed out on his cash after being beat out by forwards Kawhi Leonard, LeBron James, Kevin Durant, Draymond Green, Paul George and LaMarcus Aldridge. My advice is for AD is to either play all 82 games, a feat he’s never accomplished in his career, or permanently switch to center.
On the flip side, Damian Lilliard was given a bonus for being an All-NBA Guard. Dame Dolla, as his rap name implies, will garner an extra $13M for his accolade. Lilliard should thank Derrick Rose, as these rules around contracts came about shortly after “General Soreness” got his MVP nod many moons ago. Look for Dame to continue “droppin dimes, droppin dimes” on his way to many more All-NBA appearances.
