Why is this a Story? Ep. 1 Brian Urlac-hair
- Updated: January 5, 2016
Greetings folks, in this series, I will challenge different news outlets, asking them why do they decide to waste resources on things that nobody gives a flying fuck about. To kick it off, I just want to know one thing:
Why is this a story?
Urlacher, who retired prior to last seasons campaign, was a staple of the Bears’ defense for quite sometime, even anchoring the team to a Super Bowl appearance. When he left, he made comments that showed his former teammates in a negative light, most memorably saying that Bears players would fake injuries for time outs.
I saw the article by WGN which is a local tv news station in Chicago online and almost vomited. As much stuff, good and bad, that goes on in that city, you’d think they’d have more to talk about on any given morning. Talk about crime, cold weather, the unsigned state budget, SOMETHING. Not this.
Brian, you are already a forgotten star and will be remembered far behind the likes of Ditka, Butkus, Singletary, Payton, Perry, hell even Matt Forte has had a more memorable career than you did. Why is this what you want us to remember you for.
Hair? Hair transplants? I saw a link to the program you used, tl;dr (too long; didn’t read, in case you are a noob reading this.) I could care less what you are putting in your hair. Could care less that you wore a hat everywhere you went to hide it til now. Really don’t care about anything you have to say unless you reveal why you really ran from the game we thought you loved. SMH at you Urlacher.
Let’s talk about it. Follow Good if it Goes and I on Twitter @GoodIfItGoes_ and @mikeyvick_ and look out for that Good Podcast each Thursday.
