Farewell: Khalil Mack, Havoc Wreaker

The Chicago Bears have traded Khalil Mack to the Los Angeles Chargers because new general manager Ryan Poles is a brain-dead moron. In one of the dumbest trades in human history, the Bears will save just $6 million on this year’s cap and get only a 2nd-round pick, number 48 overall, in this year’s draft and a sixth-round pick in next year’s draft. For those keeping score at home, yes, that is less than Denver got from the Chargers’ roommate, the Rams, for Von Miller. With this move, Poles and company are effectively waving the white flag on the 2022 season. At this point, the team should be looking to move Robert Quinn and Eddie Jackson, too, but if this is what the head bozo got for one of the best edge rushers in the game, I have no faith in his ability to get more than a ham sandwich for those two guys.
Less than a month ago, we watched the Bengals and the Rams play in the Super Bowl. Chief Idiot Ryan Poles decided to learn from neither of those teams and just traded away one of his two best players for some magic beans. Look forward to another year of wasting Justin Fields’ rookie contract and severely hampering his development while leading the race for the number 1 pick in 2023. Go ahead and start scouting QBs for the next head coach to draft #1 overall in 2025.
