This week:
Jacksonville made a fantastic comeback last week against the Chargers, but now they’re about to run into a buzzsaw. Side note: why is Brandon Staley still employed? Like, they fired Joe Lombardi, which is nice, but now it’s tie to get rid of the guy who put Justin Herbert’s development in his hands in the first place. And that was never a good hire. If Joe Lombardi’s name was Joe Davis, he’d be doing somebody’s taxes right now.
The Vikings were frauds. The Eagles are not frauds. Jalen Hurts is good to go. Eagles roll. If you can get it at 7 or less, fire away.
Buffalo’s secondary concerns me. I’m not calling this a best bet, because this is still going to be a tough one for the Bengals, but with Buffalo’s secondary being what it is and Von Miller being out meaning the Bills won’t be able to take full advantage of a banged-up Cincinnati O-line, I like the Bengals.
Dallas took advantage of a Tampa Bay team that couldn’t do anything offensively, a recurring theme for the Bucs this year. Dallas moved the ball well themselves, but I highly doubt their ability to run it as well against the 49ers as they did against the Bucs. Meanwhile, the 49ers have multiple ways to beat you offensively and the Mike McCarthy vs. the 49ers rivalry has seldom gone well for Fat Beaver Cleaver. SF -3.5 lock of the week.
