Lines for this week’s NFL games come from FanDuel, and will continue to do so until a sportsbook gives us money to plug them. Lines marked with an asterisk are consensus lines because the game is not on the board at FanDuel at the time of writing. Bold indicates a best bet. Bold and italic indicates the lock of the week.

This week:

Four best bets again this week.

First, we’re again taking Da Bears. (Daaaaa Bears.) CHI +9.5 @ GB. This is a flat-out disrespectful line. The Bears showed last week that they’re not as bad as the national media expected them to be. The Packers spent last week not covering Justin Jefferson and showing everyone how much they miss Davante Adams. Will the Packers get it figured out? Yeah, probably. And I think they’ll win this game. 9.5 is too much to lay, though.

IND 4.5 @ JAX. I’m not going to overreact to week one. I still think the Colts are a good team. Jacksonville, meanwhile, stinks. Colts cover this one.

BAL -3.5 vs. MIA. Again, not overreacting here. Still don’t believe in the Dolphins. Frankly, my takeaway from their week one game against New England was that the Pats aren’t as good as I thought. Baltimore looked good. Yeah, it was the Jets, but still, they took care of business, and that’s more than can be said for some other teams.

TB -2.5 @NO. Goofy things happen when these teams meet. I will openly acknowledge that. But I already had questions about the Saints and then they needed a last-second field goal to beat a Falcons team that should be in the running for the top pick in next year’s draft. Bucs are my lock of the week.
