UA-59049186-1 NFL Week 5 Power Rankings - Good if it Goes

NFL Week 5 Power Rankings

  1. Broncos (4-0)
    • After the 1st month of the NFL regular season, the Broncos look like the best team in the NFL. They’re defense is still crazy good and their offense is better than we thought. Even when Paxton Lynch had to come in the gam,e they were fine.
  2. Vikings (4-0)
    • No Peterson, no problem for the Vikings. They had their best game running the football of the year against the team that shut the league’s leading rusher Ezekiel Elliott down. Oh, and this defense is giving the Broncos a run for best in the game right now.
  3. Eagles (3-0)
    • The Eagles should be refreshed and feeling good coming off the bye week undefeated with a rookie QB and 1st year Head Coach.
  4. Patriots (3-1)
    • The Patriots looked awful Sunday, but Tom Brady is officially back and that alone is enough reason for me to make them my top rated 1 loss team.
  5. Steelers (3-1)
    • We knew the Steelers would bounce back, but I definitely didn’t expect them to dominate the Chiefs the way they did. Bell hasn’t played in a while but in his 1st game back still looks like he’s far and away the best RB in the game.
  6. Seahawks (3-1)
    • The Seahawks played against a very good defensive line in the Jets and did the best job they’ve done all year protecting Russell Wilson by getting the ball out quick and moving him around.
  7. Falcons (3-1)
    • The Falcons might be the biggest surprise of the first month this year. They are far and away the top offense in the NFL averaging 38 points per game. Even with a bad defense you’ll win games and make the playoffs averaging over 35 a game.
  8. Packers (2-1)
    • The Packers’ only loss so far has come to the Vikings on the road and we all now know how good of a team they are now.
  9. Texans (3-1)
    • Even without Watt the Texans have enough talent on the defensive side of the ball to be a really good defense. They’ve got skill players as well. But this team is going to be 1 and done if Brock Osweiler doesn’t start playing better.
  10. Raiders (3-1)
    • Derek Carr looks absolutely fantastic and Michael Crabtree looks rejuvenated. The defense has played a lot better in the past 2 weeks compared to the first 2 and all of sudden the Raiders resemble a playoff team.
  11. Cowboys (3-1)
    • The Cowboys are starting to resemble the 2014 team. They have the NFL’s league leading rusher, they’re dominating time of possession which is keeping them off the field and a large reason why they’re 10th in points allowed.
  12. Rams (3-1)
    • Raise your hand if you had the Rams 3-1 with victories over the Seahawks and Cardinals after the 1st month? Yea me either.
  13. Ravens (3-1)
    • The Ravens finally played a team that might make the playoffs and lost. So are they for real? Flacco’s throwing the ball way too much and that needs to change.
  14. Bengals (2-2)
    • They dominated a bad Dolphins team and now things look good moving forward. Burfict is back and looked very good in his 1st game back and Tyler Eifert is expected to play his 1st game next week. We still have yet to see Cincy at full strength.
  15. Chiefs (2-2)
    • The Chiefs are better than they showed on Sunday night. With Charles back and working towards regaining his elite form the Chiefs will only get better on offense.
  16. Bills (2-2)
    • Everyone wrote this team off after an 0-2 start, but after 2 wins in a row against the Cardinals and Patriots (albeit against the 3rd string QB) the Bills suddenly have life.
  17. Redskins (2-2)
    • It’s not hard to look good against the Browns and the Redskins did just that coming out and playing their best game of the season against the NFL’s worst team.
  18. Giants (2-2)
    • It was miserable Monday night for the Giants against the NFC’s best defensive team. It didn’t help matters that ODB had another temper tantrum. However that rookie Paul Perkins looks like he needs more touches and might be the 1 bright spot for this team coming out of that ugly loss.
  19. Panthers (1-3)
    • The Panthers aren’t as bad as they’re record suggests. 2 of their losses were against the Vikings and Broncos who are the league’s only 4-0 teams and their loss this past week was against a very good Falcons offense in a game where Cam Newton got hurt.
  20. Cardinals (1-3)
    • With Carson Palmer out with a concussion things look bleak for the Arizona offense. But honestly things weren’t that great with him in the lineup either.
  21. Jets (1-3)
    • FitzPICKtrick has been the biggest problem for the Jets. If he’s going to keep throwing interceptions it might be time to see what Geno Smith can do.
  22. Saints (1-3)
    • The Saints won a game they probably shouldn’t have but they were in position to do it because they’re offense is still 1 of the best in the league.
  23. Jaguars (1-3)
    • The good news is the Jags finally resembled the team I thought they could be this past week. The bad news is it took them playing the Colts to do it.
  24. Colts (1-3)
    • The Colts literally are only good at 2 positions – QB and WR – and even that’s been compromised with the injury to Donte Moncrief. It’s going to be a long year for Luck and company.
  25. Chargers (1-3)
    • No team in the league should be more sick right now than the Chargers who should be 3-1 right now but keep finding new and exciting ways to lose.
  26. Lions (1-3)
    • The Lions have been right there in pretty much every game they’ve played. They’re a competitive team but they’re also a team on a 3 game losing streak coming off a loss to an 0-3 Bears team that had no life before that game.
  27. Titans (1-3)
    • The Titans defense overall has been a lot better than I expected but the Titans offense can’t do anything because the passing game is horrible. Demarco Murray is doing all he can on the ground and looks rejuvenated but there’s only so much a good rushing attack can do without any help from the passing game.
  28. Buccaneers (1-3)
    • Its getting uglier and uglier for the Bucs, who looked like world beaters after 1 week and now are in the NFL cellar.
  29. Dolphins (1-3)
    • The Dolphins can’t score any points, it’s really as simple as that. They have 1 reliable WR and no reliable RBs or QBs.
  30. Bears (1-3)
    • The win against the Lions was nice, but this team is still terrible and that 1 win doesn’t have me ready to say the Bears are ready to make some noise.
  31. 49ers (1-3)
    • The loss of Navorro Bowman was essentially a death blow to the 49ers who stink on offense. All they had to hold on to was an above average defense that instantly looked below average the minute he went off the field.
  32. Browns (0-4)
    • Josh Gordon’s career in Cleveland and maybe in the NFL period might be over and so are the Browns hopes of winning more than 2 games.
