TH4NKSGIVING Spoiled by the Bears

The Chicago Bears rolled into rainy Lambeau Field on Thanksgiving night for what was supposed to be the cliche “let’s rub it into the Bears faces” win for the Packers. NOPE!

Don’t you just love that the Packers purposely picked a nationally televised, Thanksgiving night game against the supposed weaker Bears of whom the Packers have made an absolute mockery of in recent years (Freakin lost 55-14 last year while Aaron Rodgers complained of back soreness because he was standing around on the sideline too long watching the Bears get their ass kicked) to retire Brett Favre’s jersey?

“How can we humiliate the Bears this time guys? How about we kick their ass on Thanksgiving and retire Brett Favre’s number during halftime? Jay will throw 3 interceptions, Aaron will tear them up like he always does, and we’ll be laughing together after the game eating turkey and watching Brett Favre highlights til we all pass out!”

HAHA. NOPE!

In in all seriousness, the Bears were the better team that game. Played better, coached better, made the right plays at the right time, protected the ball, and the defense, especially the secondary, dominated. Not to mention, JAY CUTLER DIDN’T TURN THE BALL OVER! Oh, and AARON ROGERS DID!

What at an exciting win for us Bears fans. This management and coaching staff has really set the competitive tone for the entire team, and have implemented an attitude that is necessary for success. The Bears are on the rise and it feels good to watch it. The best part about the win is that the Bears still have an outside chance at a playoff spot. It’s possible. We’ll see.

More Bears coverage later this week. BEAR DOWN!

Ps: Cutty just had his third child. Welcome to the world Saylor!

[Editor’s Note – Kevin: Adam Gase just ate Dom Capers’ lunch here. Shayne should have a rant up soon. And how was John Madden not on hand for this game? It had Brett Favre and turkey. During Favre’s retirement ceremony, when they were talking about someone special coming out for the ceremony, I was really hoping it would be Madden. (Not going to lie, I also kind of hoped it would be Jenn Sterger.)]
