No Toews, no problem. Well, for the first 40 anyway. Then, the Avalanche made it interesting, but the defense and Crawford maintained the Blackhawks’ lead. Those first 40 minutes, though. The Hawks dominated the game and held the Avalanche to 8 shots. Calvin Pickard had to have a very good game just to keep the Avalanche in it, as the Hawks were getting plenty of good looks.
My picks for 3 stars:
★★★ Calvin Pickard, G, COL (40 SV, 2 GA)
★★ Artemi Panarin, LW, CHI (1 G (GWG))
★ Corey Crawford, G, CHI (23 SV, 1 GA)
