Stars 4, Blackhawks 3 (OT)
- Updated: December 1, 2017
This game stunk. The Blackhawks had ten shots on goal through two periods. They never lead. They looked off. They fave up as many goals on the power play as they scored. But they took a point.
The Stars got the scoring started on a tuck-in goal by Mattias Janmark. The lead lasted all of nine seconds, as Alex DeBrincat scored on the first rush after the faceoff. The Stars would get the lead back later in the period on a penalty shot with the Hawks on a power play. The second period saw both teams find the net with the Hawks getting only two other shots in the period. The Hawks would pick up their play in the third, tie the game, and force overtime. That didn’t go so well. Janmark scored 51 seconds in to give Dallas the extra point.
My picks for 3 stars
★★★ Radek Faksa, C, DAL (1 G, 1 A)
★★ Gustav Forsling, D, CHI (1 A)
★ Mattias Janmark, C, DAL (2 G (GWG))
