UA-59049186-1 Wild 2, Blackhawks 1 - Good if it Goes

Wild 2, Blackhawks 1

Box score (ESPN)

The Blackhawks played solid hockey for 60 minutes but were only able to get one past Devan Dubnyk, and that one was debatable. Brent Seabrook got the scoring started after being scratched last night. Minnesota challenged that the play was offside – it looked that way live, but replays were inconclusive – but lost the challenge. Minnesota tied the game in the second on a puck that took a couple weird bounces and took the lead in the third on a shot Anton Forsberg should have had. The Hawks were unable to find the equalizer.

Earlier in the day, the team traded Richard Panik and Laurent Dauphin to Arizona for Anthony Duclair and Adam Clendening. Clendening will report to Rockford. Duclair had a ton of potential a couple years ago, but his game has fallen off since then. The Hawks are hoping that they can turn him around. If they can, he can be a big help. If they can’t, he’s a free agent after the season and they got Panik off the books. Well done by Stan Bowman.
