Thank You For Your Irrelevant Opinion

I’m not a big MMA fan, but I love when Ronda Rousey fights, because afterward, Twitter provides me with plenty of blog material. This time, I got so much material it’s getting it’s own blog.

Cue the music!

Allow me to beg your indulgence for one moment. Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to this installment of

sandow

where we scour Twitter to find the dumbest tweets out there and post them here so we can all laugh at the ignoramuses that wrote them. Let’s begin, shall we…

Ronda Rousey is not the greatest fighter in the world right now. She is not close to being the greatest fighter in the world right now. Floyd Mayweather is the greatest fighter in the world right now, and after him, in no particular order, there are Wladimir Klitschko, Sergey Kovalev, and Gennady Golovkin, just to name a few, that are miles better than Rousey. Heck, Manny Pacquiao, to whom Mayweather gave a boxing lesson, is a better fighter than Rousey.

And since Tyson? Forget about it. That brings Lennox Lewis, Oscar De Lay Hoya, Arturo Gatti, Bernard Hopkins, and Ricky Hatton, just to name a few, into the discussion. And that’s just boxing. I didn’t even get into MMA.

The sender of the original tweet clearly knows nothing about boxing. Nor do all the idiots who called Mayweather-Pacquiao “boring.” I had so much hope for the first reply after reading the first sentence, but it all fell apart when he called Floyd the greatest of all time. He’s a great boxer. When all is said and done, he may be in the top 10, maybe even the top 5, but he’s not the greatest ever and has no shot at being the greatest ever. And I don’t care what kind of fight we’re talking about, Ronda Rousey is not beating Floyd Mayweather. Period.

And finally, this round’s champion…

dumbtweet4-5

This wasn’t about Rousey, and was sent long before her fight, but I forgot about it, and we’re talking about Floyd, too, so I’m going to use it now. The only way Floyd’s last fight isn’t going to do big PPV numbers is if Floyd decides to put the fight on CBS. Floyd announced that the fight will be against Andre Berto, but it could be against anyone and still do big PPV numbers. You think people aren’t going to buy it because they’re stupid and thought the last fight was boring? These idiots think every Mayweather fight is boring. But then what happens the next time he fights? It does big PPV numbers. And that’s what’s going to happen here. (Insert deadbeat joke here. They write themselves, take your pick.) So, MoJizel, thank you for your irrelevant opinion!

Join us again next time, as we continue to mock stupid tweets. You’re welcome.
