First off, some business to attend to: this is likely the last one of these from me until at least the Rumble. Football and hockey are starting soon and I’m about to become even less familiar with the product than I am now (although I cant remember the last time I watched a whole episode of their TV and the video packages were more than enough to fill me in, which really doesn’t say much about the value of their TV). Anyway, I hated the show. Scott liked it. I’m not sure what he was watching. Corbin vs. Cena was about as good as it could have been and that wasn’t very good. The Cass-Big Show match was total nonsense. Enzo squeezing out was funny and about the only entertaining thing in the match, but even so, what was the point of the cage, then? They made Rusev look like a complete dope for no good reason. The Raw women’s title match was fine until the finish. AJ and Owens could have had a great match if Shane wasn’t involved. He just looked like a dope the whole match. Also looking like dopes – the commentators, who all managed to whiff on the spot where Shane got hit with AJ’s 450 splash by not saying that Owens pulled Shane onto him to use him as a shield. As it stood, the spot just looked like Shane got in the way on purpose. Roidy Magoo going over Nakamura is indefensible. Roidy’s promos suck, his ring work sucks, he just sucks. I’ve seen praise for the main event, but after three-and-a-half hours of mostly crap, I couldn’t get into three guys hitting one move each over and over and Joe getting lost in the shuffle. Bálor-Bray was quite good and the tag match was one of the better ones I’ve seen from this company in a while. Overall: -¼
