What’s Going On Strikes Pose
- Updated: December 7, 2016

Heisman finalists announced
They are:
Lamar Jackson, QB, Louisville
Baker Mayfield, QB, Oklahoma
Jabrill Peppers, LB/DB, Michigan
Deshaun Watson, QB, Clemson
Dede Westbrook, WR, Oklahoma
Lamar Jackson is going to win and that’s fine. If I had a vote, I’d give the nod to Peppers, because he’s the centerpiece of the nation’s top defense per S&P+ and somebody needs to take up for the defensive players. On top of his excellent defensive play, he was great as a kick returner – he took one punt back, had another called back on an iffy penalty, and very nearly took another half-dozen kicks to the house. In addition to all that, he was an asset on offense as well. The fact that he’s a Wolverine is a nice bonus. SI’s Chris Johnson makes the case for Peppers here. While we’re taking up for defensive players, Adoree’ Jackson should be going to New York in place of one of the Oklahoma guys. And before anyone @’s me about not being for Manti Te’o in 2012, he wasn’t even the best linebacker in the country that year.
They got robbed
MGoBlog‘s Brian Cook tweeted this out after the finalists were announced:
top Heisman snubs, last 20 years
1. Mike Vick
2. Ndamukong Suh
3. Larry Fitzgerald
4. Christian McCaffrey
5. Peyton Manning DON’T @ ME— mgoblog (@mgoblog) December 6, 2016
The last one is a joke. *strikes Heisman pose at Tennessee fans*
Matt Hinton added his list:
1. Suh
2. Vince Young
3. Larry Fitzgerald
4. McCaffrey
5. Honey Badger / Champ Baileyhttps://t.co/LlPpHFBGh7— Matt Hinton (@MattRHinton) December 6, 2016
I’ve got:
- Ndamukong Suh (2009)
- Michael Vick (1999)
- Larry Fitzgerald (2003)
- Darren McFadden (2007)
- Rex Grossman (2001)
I think Vince Young should have won it in 2005, but Reggie Bush was also really, really good, so I can’t call that a snub.
Don’t offer to eat things on the Internet, part III
.@GETRIDDATHAT yes, we remember that. We also remember you tweeting this before later deleting it. We’ll be sure to circle back in December. pic.twitter.com/0UnYwFldUw

Welp.
The tweet Scott Bell was responding to was calling Peppers overrated. Don’t call Peppers overrated. It makes you look like a dope. Not as much of a dope as someone who would offer to eat poop, but still a pretty big dope. And don’t offer to eat things on the Internet. If you must offer to eat things on the Internet, offer to eat something that’s, you know, not poop. Or a hat. Don’t eat those, either.
Now, @GETRIDDATHAT, go over to your cooler and pick yourself out a nice one.
