UA-59049186-1 Every Day Should Be Football - Good if it Goes

Every Day Should Be Football

Spencer Hall is right – every day should be Saturday. Saturdays are great. Here in Chicago, the college football games start at 11 A.M. and run well past the next one and into the next day.

But every day should be Sunday, too; when the greatest players in the world showcase their magnificent talents.

And every day should be Monday, when the answer to Hank Williams, Jr.’s question is always a resounding “yes.”

And every day should be Tuesday and Wednesday, when MACtion rules the night.

And every day should be Thursday, when Thursday Night Football gives us an appetizer for the upcoming weekend feast.

And every day should be Friday, when the next generation takes the field under those Friday night lights.

Every day should be football. It’s the greatest game in the world. And yes, it has problems and we should address them as we advance the game. We owe that to football. We owe it to football to make sure the game keeps growing. After all, it’s given us so much enjoyment, whether you were a player, a coach, a fan, or any combination thereof.

Thank you for everything, football. We’ll see you in Canada in June.
