The American League champion Cleveland Indians come in to this World Series fresh off as dominant a run through the AL playoffs as possible, losing just one game and seemingly having a lead the entire playoffs. Much of that due to effective starting pitching and a dominant bullpen, along with the occasional clutch hitting. Andrew Miller continues to be Terry Francona’s Swiss Army knife, even switching it up on Toronto in their Game 3 win, having closer Cody Allen come on before Miller, and Miller ended up with the save. Francona has really used Miller in ways we haven’t seen much in the modern Major League game, bringing him in as early as the 5th inning this postseason. This team will be tough to beat, they have absolutely everything working for them, and there’s no reason to doubt their ability to win this series. The Cubs are the best team they have seen thus far, however, and by a wide margin. For the Cubs, everybody knows about what they have accomplished, and that they ended the long drought to get here. The Indians present the toughest bullpen the Cubs have had to deal with so far, and that will create frustration for them at times this series. However, this is the first time they don’t have to face a Hall of Fame ace. Corey Kluber is no slouch however, but the rest of the rotation should allow the Cubs to score runs. This series opening in Cleveland is a huge boost to the Indians, who because of that fact, have minimal chance of going down 2-0 to the Cubs juggernaut and basically being done. The team hits so well at home and always seem to come through playing at Progressive Field. This is going to be a great series. One we won’t forget for a long time.

PREDICTION: Expect a split in Cleveland, and after the Cubs take 2 of 3 at Wrigley, then returning to Cleveland with a 3-2 lead and closing out the series in 6 incredible games.
