This is another underwhelming tight end draft class…except for the man at the top. If you were building a tight end for today’s NFL from scratch, it wouldn’t look much different from Kyle Pitts. While he may not be a dominating blocker, Pitts’ size and athleticism makes him a matchup nightmare. The QB who gets to throw to him is going to be a very happy man. Elsewhere, Jordan, Friermuth, and Tremble all look like solid players. Friermuth has star potential, but never truly tapped into it at Penn State. If he can put it all together, he can be a great pro, but that’s a big if.
