UA-59049186-1 NFL Week 2 Power Rankings - Good if it Goes

NFL Week 2 Power Rankings

  1. Patriots (1-0)
    • When I look at what this team did to a team like the Cardinals without a lot of their key guys, I just don’t see how you can’t put this team at the top of the mountain right now.
  2. Steelers (1-0)
    • Pittsburgh annihilated a team in the Redskins that I respect and expect to make the playoffs this year. The Steelers offense is fantastic like we knew it would be, but man it looks like the defense is finally ready to step up play their part.
  3. Packers (1-0)
    • Aaron Rodgers looked better in week 1 than he looked most of last year. If the most gifted QB in football is finally playing at the level we’re accustomed to, the rest of the NFL better look out.
  4. Broncos (1-0)
    • I don’t wanna overreact to 1 game, but man, the Broncos looked good and did so against an elite team that everyone thought they’d lose to. The defense is still big time, they can run the ball, and Simeon appears to be capable of playing just decent enough to not be a problem.
  5. Seahawks (1-0)
    • I wasn’t impressed with the Seattle offense at all, but the final drive was big time by Russell and company and the defense already appears to be in mid-season form.
  6. Bengals (1-0)
    • By hook or by crook, the Bengals are 1-0. They should’ve lost to the Jets, but AJ Green and Dalton were both impressive and Eifert and Burfict are due back in the lineup which will only make them better.
  7. Panthers (0-1)
    • They lost a tough game, but if Graham Gano did his job, the Panthers come out on top in that game. Even in the loss, Benjamin looked great after missing a year to injury and I expect the Panthers to be just fine moving forward.
  8. Cardinals (0-1)
    • A lot of people are looking at the Cardinals and saying they’r overrated because of the loss to the Pats, but I’m not. I think Jimmy G is so legit that the Pats didn’t have much drop off from Brady. Not only that, if Cantanzaro makes a 44 yard field goal, we’re having another discussion about the Cardinals this week. Oh and did you see that Fitzgerald guy?
  9. Texans (1-0)
    • The Texans’ D got off to a great start racking up 5 sacks in their 1st game and Clowney was highly effective which has to have the Texans coaches feeling very optimistic. Oh and the offense actually wasn’t bad either and we finally saw a receiver NOT named Hopkins making big plays.
  10. Vikings (1-0)
    • I was very high on the Vikings defense and they are showing early signs of being as good as advertised. However, the lack of production by Peterson against 1 of the league’s worst rush defenses in 2015 does concern me a little.
  11. Raiders (1-0)
    • Derek Carr and the offense put on a show, but can the defense hold up and play it’s part?
  12. Chiefs (1-0)
    • KC got off to rough start, but ultimately Alex Smith started cooking and the Chiefs made a big comeback to get off to a 1-0 start.
  13. Giants (1-0)
    • The last time the Giants were playoff relevant, they had terrific defensive line play. Well after spending a ton of money in free agency, I think the Giants have the best front 4 in the NFL and thus could be headed back to the postseason.
  14. Ravens (1-0)
    • I don’t have a lot of faith in the Ravens offense, but man, the defense looked good and if the Ravens stay healthy they might have something to say about who wins the North.
  15. Jaguars (0-1)
    • The Jags might have lost, but it was by 4 on a game that came down to the wire against a Super Bowl-caliber team, I think that’s progress for the Jags.
  16. Jets (0-1)
    • The Jets did everything right against Cincy but win the game. Silly mistakes, missed field goals and dropped passes did them in.
  17. Redskins (0-1)
    • The Redskins got embarrassed on MNF, but I’m not going to put too much stock into that. Their still loaded on offense and their aren’t too many offenses the Redskins are gonna play that can do what Pittsburgh can do.
  18. Cowboys (0-1)
    • The Cowboys were in mid-season form losing a game where they outplayed the opponent and were in position to win late but lost on a silly blunder.
  19. Buccaneers (1-0)
    • Jameis Winston is a future star, there’s just no other way to look at it, but I’m not ready to crown this team yet after 7-point victory over a Falcons team I don’t have much respect for.
  20. Lions (1-0)
    • I was highly impressed with the Lions, winning a close game at the end by executing and playing smart. Stafford displayed excellent leadership and appears to be set on proving he’s more than just a product of Megatron.
  21. Dolphins (0-1)
    • I know moral victories are for minor league coaches and all according to Jay-Z, but the Dolphins were supposed to have no shot against the Seahawks and yet they almost beat them, losing a hard-fought contest by only 2 points. This Dolphins team might be better than we thought.
  22. Eagles (1-0)
    • Philly took care of business and Wentz looked great, but they beat the Browns and you’ll just have to pardon me if that doesn’t move me very much.
  1. Bills (0-1)
    • Last year, the defense was the problem in week 1 the offense was the problem. I respect the Ravens but their not an elite defense and this Bills team should have definitely been able to score more than 7 points.
  1. Saints (0-1)
    • The Saints are what we thought they were, elite offense and atrocious on defense, nothing has changed.
  1. Colts (0-1)
    • I think the Colts are going to be the AFC’s version of the Saints. I expect Luck and company to light it up on offense and I expect everybody they play to light them up.
  1. 49ers (1-0)
    • I was SHOCKED at what the 49ers did to the Rams. I never expected the Rams to be juggernauts but Chip Kelly is working miracles with that 49ers offense given his personnel and the defense really looked good even if it was just the Rams.
  1. Bears (0-1)
    • The Bears just aren’t a good football team right now. They’ve got a few really talented players sprinkled among what is primarily a mediocre roster.
  1. Chargers (0-1)
    • After the 1st half I was thinking maybe things will be different for the Chargers. Then they blew a big lead and lost in OT to the Chiefs and to make matters worse Kennan Allen is now out for the year AGAIN!
  1. Falcons (0-1)
    • The Falcons looked good in the passing game, but they can’t run the damn ball and the defense stinks.
  1. Titans (0-1)
    • I expected more from the Titans on offense based on the way they ran the ball in the preseason but I was a little surprised in how well their defense played even if it was just against Shaun Hill.
  1. Browns (0-1)
    • The Browns don’t have a defense, the offensive line isn’t good, and they don’t have a QB.
  1. Rams (0-1)
    • Until further notice, this is the worst team in the NFL. The defense isn’t quite as good as I thought they were and they have no QB, no WRs, no O-Line, no chance.
