I’m not a fan of this tight end class at all. Albert Okwuebugnam from Missouri had a very nice showing at the Combine, which pushed him to the top of my TE board. His athleticism makes him an intriguing enough prospect to claim the top spot because there just aren’t any real exciting prospect in this class. Cole Kmet from Notre Dame looked great on tape at times and just okay at others. Then, at the Combine, he ran slower than I had hoped he would and just really didn’t stand out during testing as a whole. I have a late 3rd/early 4th-round on him. Brycen Hopkins from Purdue is in the same boat: mostly good tape, disappointing Combine testing. Thaddeus Moss, son of Hall of Fame receiver and Hall of Fame Lambeau Field touchdown celebrator Randy Moss, didn’t test at the Combine. If he had tested and tested well, I might have graded him as high as late 2nd round. Without a Combine to look at, all we have is his tape, which shows that there’s definitely potential there, but does leave you wanting to see more production from him.
