Daxton Hill out of Michigan leads the safety class for the 2022 draft. He’s got some Honey Badger in him; he can play both nickel and safety. Kyle Hamilton is a smart, instinctual player, but didn’t test well at the draft and may fit better as more of a S/LB/SAM hybrid. It wouldn’t be a defensive position group without a Georgia Bulldog involved – Lewis Cine has 1st-round talent. Auburn’s Smoke Monday could be a nice get for somebody on day 3. Dax’s teammate Brad Hawkins was a steady presence for the Wolverines during his time there and could be a serviceable pro.
