Lines for this week’s NFL games come from FanDuel, and will continue to do so until a sportsbook gives us money to plug them. Lines marked with an asterisk are consensus lines because the game is not on the board at FanDuel at the time of writing. Bold indicates a best bet. Bold and italic indicates the lock of the week.

This week:

Another slate of games I hate.

My lock of the week is going to be BAL +1.5 at TB. The Bucs got whomped by the worst team in the league on Sunday and are just a mess in general right now. It would be one thing if this game were on Sunday, but this is a tall task for them on a short week.

The only other game I see as worthy of a best bet distinction, and it’s a weak one at that, is SF -1.5 at LAR. I’m not super confident in the 49ers, and it’s hard to make a best bet against the defending champs, but the Niners seem to have the Rams’ number.

Elsewhere, there are some games that could be playable if the line moves a little bit. If GB-BUF crosses 10, fire away on Buffalo. The Packers not only lost to Washington, they got outplayed in all three phases. Joe Barry’s defense can’t stop anybody; the Giants are legit, but the Jets are 21st in offensive DVOA and the Commanders are 28th. What do you think Buffalo’s going to do to them? In Buffalo, no less. Meanwhile, Green Bay’s offense doesn’t seem to comprehend the fact that games have two halves and for both of those halves this week, they’ll be up against the league’s best defense.

If PIT-PHI crosses 10, Philly is playable, but I still wouldn’t call it a best bet. While nobody’s going to mistake the Steelers for a good team, they are scrappy. Mike Tomlin has these guys still playing hard and they’ve beaten the spread the last two weeks, including an outright win over Tampa. The other ATS win was over a Miami team just getting Tua back. This is a taller task; the Eagles are clearly the best team in the NFC.
