NFL Power Rankings: Week 8
- Updated: October 27, 2016
1 Patriots (6-1)
Easily the NFL’s best right now.
2. Cowboys (5-1)
Dak Prescott has Dallas looking like the NFC’s best team.
3. Vikings (5-1)
How far can the offense take this team?
4. Broncos (5-2)
Snapped a two-game losing skid by thumping Houston on Monday night.
5. Eagles (4-2)
Scored an impressive victory over Minnesota this past week.
6. Raiders (5-2)
Will look to make it 5-0 on the road this Sunday in Tampa.
7. Falcons (4-3)
Explosive offense, but questions linger on defense.
8. Chiefs (4-2)
I question their ability to hang with the NFL’s elite, but they should be in the race for the AFC West title until the end.
9. Bills (4-3)
Bit of a setback this past week, but I still like Buffalo’s team.
10. Bengals (3-4)
Yes, a team with a losing record makes the top 10. All four losses are to top teams; however, the closest of those games was an 8-point loss to Pittsburgh. I like Cincinnati’s team as a whole, though I’d be lying if I said there wasn’t a “by default” element to this. You’ll see why.
11. Packers (4-2)
Might have been in trouble this past Thursday if the Bears could put together anything at all on offense.
12. Seahawks (4-1-1)
What in the world was that game?
13. Steelers (4-3)
Should be fine once Ben Roethlisberger‘s back.
14. Giants (4-3)
Should hang around in the NFC East race.
15. Texans (4-3)
Can beat the bad teams, not so much the good ones.
16. Dolphins (3-4)
Impressive win over Buffalo. Appear to be putting it together.
17. Redskins (4-3)
Four-game win streak was snapped by the Lions.
18. Chargers (3-4)
Two nice wins the last two weeks.
19. Lions (4-3)
Do not appear to be the same old Lions.
20. Cardinals (3-3-1)
Seriously, that Monday night game was a disaster.
21. Ravens (3-4)
Still waiting to really see something from this team.
22. Rams (3-4)
Why is Jared Goff not starting yet?
23. Saints (2-4)
Haven’t lost to anybody bad, but only decent win is over San Diego.
24. Colts (3-4)
Only win over a team in my top 20 is a victory over San Diego following a late Chargers collapse.
25. Titans (3-4)
Late mistakes cost them against the Colts.
26. Buccaneers (3-3)
Just had their best outing since week one. However, it was against the 49ers.
27. Panthers (1-5)
Just had a bye week to figure things out.
28. Jets (2-5)
Finally remembered how to score points.
29. Jaguars (2-4)
Next good win will be their first.
30. Bears (1-6)
Jay Cutler should be back Monday night, though a rough matchup with Minnesota looms. At the very least, Cutler should eventually pull the team into the top 25.
31. 49ers (1-6)
Still haven’t shown anything since week 1.
32. Browns (0-7)
Still haven’t shown anything at all.
