Blackhawks 3, Coyotes 1
- Updated: December 10, 2017
After two periods where not a lot happened, both teams got it in gear in the third. The Blackhawks got the scoring started when the fourth line generated a great chance and Tommy Wingels put it home. The goal seemed to energize the Hawks and also spur the Coyotes into action. They would get a goal of their own later from Anthony Duclair in the period after a couple of very good sequences. The game would be tied for just over a minute before Artem Anisimov put the Hawks back in front. A minute and 45 seconds later, Patrick Kane took the puck and turned it into a 2-on-1 opportunity. He put a pass right in Nick Schmaltz‘s wheelhouse and Schmaltz put it past Scott Wedgewood for an insurance goal.
My picks for 3 stars
★★★ Tommy Wingels, C, CHI (1 G)
★★ Patrick Kane, RW, CHI (2 A)
★ Corey Crawford, G, CHI (31 SV, 1 GA)
