Blackhawks 3, Senators 2 (SO)
- Updated: February 22, 2018
This was one of Anton Forsberg‘s better performances as a member of the Blackhawks. The team played well in front of him at both ends of the ice and didn’t yield too many great looks, but Forsberg still had to put in quite a bit of work, particularly in the third period and overtime. The Hawks out-shot the Senators 14-4 in the first, but the game was tied at one after that period. After that, the action was much more even before the Senators started getting the better of it late. Forsberg did well to get the game to overtime and did even better to get it to a shootout. In the shootout, neither goal Forsberg gave up was really a good one, but the shooters did their part and the Hawks got the extra point.
My picks for 3 stars
★★★ Vinnie Hinostroza, F, CHI (1 A)
★★ Patrick Kane, RW, CHI (1 G, 1 A)
★ Anton Forsberg, G, CHI (32 SV, 2 GA)
