Blackhawks 4, Blues 3
- Updated: April 5, 2018
The Blackhawks headed down to St. Louis to take on a Blues team fighting for a playoff berth. Midway through the game, things looked good for the Blues as they lead 3-1. Then Blake Hillman got his first NHL goal shorthanded. The Blues still took a 1-goal lead into the third. Then eight-and-a-half minutes into the period, Alex DeBrincat tied the game. With two minutes left in regulation and the game still tied, Chris Butler was sent off for holding and the Hawks went on the power play. The Blues were well on their way to killing the penalty and getting a much-needed point and maybe a second one in overtime. Then Duncan Keith scored his second goal of the year with 8.5 seconds to play. The Blues play the Avalanche in the last game of the season Saturday. Prior to that, they head to Chicago Friday, where the Hawks can really make things difficult for them. Let’s hope they do. I’m not still bitter about 2016. No sir, not at all.
My picks for 3 stars
★★★ Blake Hillman, D, CHI (1 G)
★★ Alex DeBrincat, RW, CHI (1 G, 1 A)
★ Duncan Keith, D, CHI (1 G (GWG))
