Blackhawks 4, Hurricanes 3 (OT)
- Updated: November 12, 2017
The Blackhawks got off to a very sloppy start and fell behind by 2 in the first. In the second, the team finally showed up and scored just after a power play concluded a little over seven-and-a-half minutes in. The goal seemed to actually surprise Pat Foley, which tells you about how the team has been playing lately. Just under two-and-a-half minutes later, the lead was back to two. I don’t know what happened in the locker room between the second and third periods, but the Hawks came out ready to play in the third and came back to force overtime. In OT, Alex DeBrincat made a perfect pass to set up Brandon Saad for the game-winner, DeBrincat’s third point of the night.
My picks for 3 stars
★★★ Brock McGinn, LW, CAR (2 G)
★★ Brandon Saad, LW, CHI (1 G (GWG))
★ Alex DeBrincat, RW, CHI (2 G, 1 A)
