Devils 7, Blackhawks 5
- Updated: November 12, 2017
The Blackhawks played a very good first period…then apparently forgot there were two more. This was a goalfest, with some great offensive plays and some defensive plays that were pretty offensive. The Hawks, in, particular, were pretty sloppy, and to make matters worse, Corey Crawford had his worst game of the year. Anton Forsberg came out for the third and was rather meh himself. The Hawks did get to five goals, so at least there’s that, but this was disappointing after they looked like they had begun to fix things at least a little bit a night ago.
My picks for 3 stars
★★★ Jan Rutta, D, CHI (1 G, 2 A)
★★ Brian Gibbons, C, NJD (1 G (GWG), 1 A)
★ Miles Wood, LW, NJD (3 G, 1 A)
