Blackhawks 6, Rangers 3
- Updated: November 16, 2017
In the first, the Blackhawks played one of their worst periods of the year. They looked flat again and were lucky to make it out of the period only down 1-0. The team showed up for the second period and evened the game on a goal from Alex DeBrincat that literally leaked through Henrik Lundqvist. The Hawks opened the third on fire. They took the lead just over a minute in the period, pushed it to two less than a minute after that, then made it 4-1 a few minutes later on a power play. They proceeded to nearly couch the lead up. The Rangers cut the lead to 4-3 and were clearly getting the better of the action for a while. The Hawks managed to hold on to the lead and would end up getting some insurance on Artem Anisimov’s third goal of the night and an empty-netter from Jonathan Toews.
My picks for 3 stars
★★★ Richard Panik, RW, CHI (3 A)
★★ Alex DeBrincat, LW, CHI (1 G)
★ Artem Anisimov, C, CHI (3 G (GWG))
