The Blackhawks got out to a great start and then got lazy and sloppy. After firing on all cylinders and jumping out to a 6-0 lead. The defense started to fall apart, the offense couldn’t match Boston’s aggressiveness, and Darling wasn’t as good as he needed to be, though he did make 42 saves. The start was very encouraging, but you can’t take your foot off the gas like that in the playoffs. Doing so is asking for trouble and the Hawks came very close to coughing this one up.
