Well, the offense got going. And the power play was great. And it was a win. But, yeah, this got sloppy. The Hawks went up 6-2 and let Arizona back in it. Not ideal. Crawford was also not ideal. The first goal was atrocious. That’s a goal that nobody should ever let get in, let alone a guy who’s supposed to be a franchise goaltender. The second goal was not a good one. Then he settled down and made some great saves. Then he was shaky again, but this time, the defense was, too, and it seemed like their shakiness was more of the problem on the last 3 goals, but yeah, it would have been nice to see Crawford come up big on at least one of those. Darling on Thursday, please. Luckily, though, Arizona’s defense and goaltending was never really good and the Hawks got a ton of great looks and cashed in on quite a few of them.
My picks for 3 stars:
★★★ Patrick Kane, RW, CHI (1 G, 2 A)
★★ Andrew Desjardins, F, CHI (2 G (GWG))
★ Shane Doan, RW, ARI (3 G)
