Bruins 3, Blackhawks 2
- Updated: April 3, 2017
The Blackhawks hosted the Bruins for the final home regular season game of the year Sunday. The Hawks don’t have much to play for with first place in the division and conference sewn up and the first twenty minutes sure looked like they weren’t playing for anything. After falling behind 2-0 in the first, the team woke up in the second and Artemi Panarin cut the Boston lead to one late in the period on a play where Richard Panik was pushed inside the net, Panarin’s shot hit Panik and bounced back to Panarin, who got it all the way into the net on the second try. In the middle stages of the third, Boston would push the lead back to two, but Jordin Tootoo would score 25 seconds after Boston did. Unfortunately, the Hawks would be unable to score again.
A few things
- Artem Anisimov is scheduled to begin skating Monday. He’s still on track to be ready for the playoffs.
