Not a great effort from the Blackhawks in this one, but considering it was the back end of a back-to-back on the road, I wouldn’t be too worried. The Bruins got out to a good start, aided by Darling giving up two bad goals. The Hawks got one of their own and stayed in the game, but in the second, the Bruins scored two more and pushed the lead to three. Neither of those goals was Darling’s fault – one was on a power play where he was screened, the other was a bad play by Keith. The Hawks pulled within two, but were unable to do anything in the third to get the game any closer than that.
My picks for 3 stars:
★★★ Teuvo Teräväinen, F, CHI (1 A)
★★ Patrice Bergeron, C, BOS (1 G, 1 A)
★ Brad Marchand, LW, BOS (1 G, 1 A)
