Capitals 6, Blackhawks 2

The Blackhawks out-shot the Capitals by a decent amount and got whomped. This team just isn’t very good. Richard Panik has been a big zero. Patrick Sharp has been a big zero. And that’s a shame, because they’ve found a solid fourth line, the defense has been better than I expected, and Corey Crawford has been outstanding. Mike Milbury ripped the team during the third period and he was right. That’s where this team is at right now – making Mike Milbury make sense. There’s still a long way to go in the season, but they can’t afford much more of this. There’s not a coach I’d rather have in charge of fixing this. Ditto GM. But they need to get to work.
