Kings 3, Blackhawks 1
- Updated: December 3, 2017
The Blackhawks were on the back half of a back-to-back, their fifth game in seven days and they didn’t get to sleep after last night’s game in Dallas until 3 A.M. It showed. The Hawks had a whopping three shots in a first period that included a power play where they did absolutely nothing. While the second period saw them play much better, they were again unable to light the lamp. The Kings got the first goal of the game about nine-and-a-half minutes into the third on a shot from the blue line from Christian Folin. The Hawks still couldn’t find the net. The Kings made it 2-0 on an empty-netter from Dustin Brown with just over two to play. The Hawks got their first goal seventeen seconds later on a shot by Jonathan Toews. They would be unable to find another goal.
My picks for 3 stars
★★★ Dustin Brown, RW, LAK (1 G (GWG), 1 A)
★★ Anton Forsberg, G, CHI (21 SV, 1 GA)
★ Jonathan Quick, G, LAK (24 SV, 1 GA)
