Not a whole lot of good things to say about this one. The offense was sluggish early, the defense was bad, and Crawford was abysmal before getting the hook. If you were looking for anything positive: Darling was pretty good in the forty minutes he played – the one goal he gave up really wasn’t his fault. The Hawks really picked it up after the first, but it was way too little, too late. Kero did get his first NHL goal, though. So there’s that, I guess.
My picks for 3 stars:
★★★ Patrick Kane, RW, CHI (1 G)
★★ Damon Severson, D, NJD (2 A)
★ Travis Zajac, C, NJD (1 G (GWG), 1 A)
