Scott Darling got the Hawks a point and if the play in front of him was any better, he’d have gotten them two. The Kings mostly controlled the action in this one, but the Hawks made the most of a couple opportunities and were able to take a 2-0 lead into the third. Then Carter scored and the Hawks were back on their heels. They were able to keep LA from getting too many great looks, but then Seabrook forgot the puck when he attempted to exit his zone and LA picked it up and TvR wasn’t a great help and Gaborik got a great look and tied the game. In OT, both teams had great looks, but after a brilliant save by Quick, Gaborik scored on a breakaway.
My picks for 3 stars:
★★★ Patrick Kane, RW, CHI (1 G, 1 A)
★★ Anze Kopitar, C, LAK (2 A)
★ Marian Gaborik, RW, LAK (2 G (GTG, GWG))
