Lightning 3, Blackhawks 2 (OT)
- Updated: November 23, 2017
The Blackhawks went toe-to-toe with one of the NHL’s best teams and played a very good game. It looks like the team has really put their recent slump behind them. The next step – the first three-game winning streak of the year.
Patrick Kane scored a pair of goals in the first and that was all the scoring the Hawks did, though not without a handful of great looks. Andrei Vasilevskiy had an excellent game, making several big saves. At the other end, Corey Crawford did likewise for the Hawks, but ended up taking the loss in overtime after a silly penalty by Nick Schmaltz put the Hawks shorthanded and a defensive botch led to the Lightning being able to tic-tac-toe the game-winning goal in.
My picks for 3 stars
★★★ Ryan Callahan, RW, TBL (2 A)
★★ Patrick Kane, RW, CHI (2 G)
★ Andrei Vasilevskiy, G, TBL (29 SV, 2 GA)
