It’s hard to not feel like the refs cost the Blackhawks at least a point overturning a Mashinter goal on a challenge for goalie interference. As was the case in Arizona last week, it wasn’t goalie interference. Q was none too pleased in his press conference after the game. Give credit to the Sharks and Martin Jones, though, they played a great game. (Jones still isn’t getting a star from me – that’s not a legit shutout.) The Hawks were a bit flat offensively, missing Panarin, who was out with an illness, certainly didn’t help.
My picks for 3 stars:
★★★ Michal Rozsival, D, CHI (1 B)
★★ Joe Thornton, C, SJS (1 G, 1 A)
★ Patrick Marleau, C, SJS (1 G (GWG))
