A horrible first period killed the Blackhawks tonight. The Hawks got a few nice looks, but Dallas was just better in every area of the game. A really poor outing by Crawford didn’t help. Neither did a meh second period by the Hawks. The battled in the third, getting two goals and a couple more chances that could have turned into goals were it not for a great save by Lehtonen or a shot going an inch or two wide. Darling did well in relief, at least. Seriously, Q, play him more. Crawford’s been inconsistent lately and even if he hadn’t been, the Hawks are going to need Crawford fresh for the playoffs.
My picks for 3 stars:
★★★ Jonathan Toews, C, CHI (2 A)
★★ Tyler Seguin, C, DAL (2 A)
★ Patrick Eaves, RW, DAL (3 G (GWG))
