NFL Picks: 2022 Week 6
- Updated: October 13, 2022

Last week: 5-11 ATS, 11-5 ML, 1-3 best bets, 0-1 lock of the week
Season: 28-51-1 ATS, 41-38-1 ML, 8-11-1 best bets, 2-3 lock of the week
Lines for this week’s NFL games come from FanDuel, and will continue to do so until a sportsbook gives us money to plug them. Lines marked with an asterisk are consensus lines because the game is not on the board at FanDuel at the time of writing. Bold indicates a best bet. Bold and italic indicates the lock of the week.
This week:
Just two best bets this week, but I feel very strongly about both plays. The Dolphins are starting Skylar Thompson at QB this week. MIN -3.5. My lock of the week is LAC -4.5 as I have serious doubts about the Broncos’ ability to score enough to keep up with the Chargers.
Some other games I like, but not enough to call a best bet:
LAR -10 vs. CAR: Carolina’s a mess. They just fired their coach and have some key injuries in the secondary. Here’s a golden opportunity for the Rams to get their offense back on track. Ten points was too many for me to call this a best bet, given the Rams’ struggles, but get those Cooper Kupp props in.
TB -8.5 at PIT: The Steelers have stunk this year and face a tall task this week against Brady and the Bucs, who are starting to get things figured out. 8.5 was just too much to call this a best bet.
BUF -2.5 at KC: The Bills should get Edmunds and Poyer back, so I doubt Kelce’s going for 4 TDs in this one. I have serious doubts about the Chiefs’ ability to run the ball against the Bills or slow down the Bills’ passing attack. This doesn’t qualify as a best bet just because it’s the Chiefs and it’s Patrick Mahomes.
