My pick: No, but if I was seriously putting money down on these, I think I’d put something on yes. The world is watching, there’s a lot of pressure on Idina, and it’s not that hard to miss a word somewhere. Two things worth noting: 1. I don’t actually know if this includes the possibility of Idina getting a word wrong. If it does, I like yes a whole lot more. 2. If Jim Cornelison was singing the Anthem, which he should be, because nobody anywhere in the world sings it even remotely near as well as he does, give me any odds and I’m still firing on no. Guy’s a pro.

How many times will “Deflated Balls” be referred to during the game?

My pick: Over. They’ll get 3 in in the first quarter alone. Two more things: 1. Does “deflategate” count towards the total? (Gotta believe it does, since the bet says “referred to.”) and 2. Does halftime count as part of the game? (Not totally sure.) Even if the answers to both questions are no, I still love the over here.

My pick: Under. It’s easy to look at the 47.1 rating for Super Bowl XLVI, the last time the Pats were in it and think this game is going to do .5 better. However, I think that’s an outlier. Last year, the Super Bowl had about 111.5 million viewers, up about 3.1 million from the previous year. The rating for Super Bowl XLVIII came in at 46.4, up only .1 from the previous year, though.
