Roman Reigns Suspended
- Updated: June 22, 2016
Tuesday, WWE announced that Roman Reigns has been suspended for 30 days for violating the WWE Wellness Policy. This is Reigns first violation. As of the time of this writing, we don’t know what Reigns tested positive for, nor do we know when WWE found out or who knew once they found out. This would seem to make the finish of Sunday’s PPV make more sense, but they writers may not have known at the time of writing the show, so maybe this was always the finish. In any case, Reigns’ suspension ends before the Battleground PPV, so he can still work that show. However, he won’t be around for any buildup and unless an angle was shot at Smackdown (which I don’t think he’ll be at anyway, since the suspension begins immediately), he can’t even be written off for the month, so either the writers didn’t know, nobody knew until today, or nobody thought this through.
